Does this sound like you?
You’re an educator with a deep commitment to the children and families you serve, but no matter how early you come in, how late you stay, or how hard you work, it doesn’t seem like enough.
You’re never sure that the kids will be engaged and that you won’t lose your temper halfway through the day. And you definitely can’t predict what new tasks will get added to your to-do list without warning.
On top of that, you seem to need way too much time to recover from the stresses of the day. You want to be able to handle the challenges more easily and stop letting everything get to you so much.
And you’re starting to wonder how long you can carry your students’ needs along with all the other challenges that keep getting thrown at them. . . and you.
Does any of this sound familiar?
You chose to work as an educator because you want to make sure all children and families are treated with respect and dignity and have access to the best education and care possible.
You don’t just like the work you do, you feel honored to do it. Some days it feels like it’s sacred work and you can hardly believe you get to be a part of it.
At your best you know you can inspire students, families, and others. You just wish you could be at your best more of the time.
You struggle to allow yourself to make mistakes, or take a break, when your kids and their families have such hard lives compared to yours. You wonder if there’s any way to be playful and happy while moving towards social justice.
You want to find an authentic way to do your work that doesn’t leave you feeling so drained, but you’re not sure that’s possible without some sort of personality replacement.
Still, you love your work. You want to keep doing this for the long haul, but you’re not sure you know how to do better than just surviving.
Here’s the good news.
I can help.
I coach early childhood professionals and social-justice-oriented educators who feel a deep sense of calling to their work, but often struggle to do it as well as they’d like. I help them develop more effective approaches so they become less stressed, enjoy life more, and make a real difference in kids’ lives.
What will coaching do for you?
Well, its very individualized because we co-create together what you want for your life, which, of course, is unique to you. But typical results include some combination of the following (and more!):
You'll get clarity about the parts of your work and life that are causing you the greatest stress, which will allow you to focus on changing the things that will have the greatest benefit for you.
You'll decrease stress in particular areas, which will give you a sense of hope about your ability to find new ways to work that feel better to you and have better results.
You’ll discover (or re-discover) the joys available to you in the important work you do and you'll have some fun with the kids and families you serve.
You’ll remember what it’s like to relax and not think about work for a hot-minute.
You’ll feel more confident that you can keep doing this work as long as you want to, or find another way that's just as good (or better!) for you and the world.
And you'll know deep in your core that you are already good and your work is already good (not perfect, but very, very good,) so you can walk into the world with with greater peace, compassion, dignity and respect for yourself and others.
With the right strategies and approaches, you can feel satisfied with your work—knowing you’re making a difference for children and families—without having to carry such a heavy load of frustration and discouragement. You can feel happier AND be more effective. I can’t wait to show you how.
If this all sounds good to you, I'd love nothing more than to be a part of your journey!

What You’ll Get with the Stress-busting Quick Start Package:
The Super Stressors Survey
This assessment will help you get clear on exactly what parts of your work and life are causing most of your stress, what aspects of your work make you want to keep coming back, and where you are feeling most and least satisfied in your life overall. This will provide a great foundation for our one-on-one power session, so we can make the most of our time together.
Stress-busting Power Session:
In this 90-minute tele-coaching session we set you on a path towards making a difference for kids with less stress and more joy. You’ll feel relief just from talking about the hard stuff with someone outside of work, but we won’t stop there! You’ll leave the session with clear strategies that are perfectly suited to your personality and your situation, not some generic method that’s recommended for everyone.
Follow up email:
After your Stress-busting Power Session, you'll get an email overview of what we talked about with reminders of the action steps you want to take, so you can start to embed your new habits into your daily and weekly routines, making it easier to hold onto them after you complete the program.
Stress-busting Mini-Session Follow Up:
Two weeks after your power session we will meet for 30 minutes by phone to discuss how things are going. Together we will celebrate your successes and make adjustments to your original action steps as needed. Through the adjustment process you’ll learn how you can keep tweaking your stress-busting experiments to make your strategies better and better, and you'll get a sense of whether you'd like ongoing support from me. Either way, my intention is that you’ll leave our session feeling confident that you have what you need to move forward with less stress and more joy.
